Working with the agency Public Life, I developed this site for the Pears Foundation, who explore British and global citizenship rooted in Jewish values.
The back-end is of course WordPress; here, the front-end was the key. The design was quite radical, involving each page of the site being arranged as a box in a grid format. Clicking on a box expands it to reveal the page’s content. This was all done with jQuery and AJAX, and involved a great number of challenges addressing accessibility and search engine visibility. It’s impossible to address all these issues perfectly with such an innovative design, but we got very close. The result is impressive.
