XHTML, CSS, WordPress…
Funny acronyms and strange new words - that’s my trade. I design, build and manage effective, accessible and standards-based websites. Whether you’re looking for a ground-up solution for a small business or organisation, or you’re after an efficient, reliable freelancer to work as part of a larger project, I’m happy to discuss!

I’m currently based in London, England, but I work with clients as far afield as California, USA.
Friendly, professional and experienced
After a lot of time writing and publishing in print during the 1990s, I taught myself HTML and started working professionally in the web industry in 1999. I went freelance in 2000, and since then I’ve developed my skills extensively. Here’s what I offer in brief:
- Web page design and coding: valid, accessible XHTML and CSS (details)
- Custom installations of WordPress for blogging and content management (details)
- ColdFusion programming (details)
- Relational database design and SQL programming (details)
- Technical project management & consultancy (details)
- Consulting for other web designers and developers (details)
Current status
April sees me beavering away on a few regular projects, but generally open to offers . Do get in touch if you’ve something you think I might be able to help you with!
During 2008 I’m especially interested in finding regular part-time work or short (1-2 months) contracts.
What I’m looking for
I may consider very attractive full-time propositions in the London area, but it’s unlikely; I like to stay flexible. I’d love to hear from anyone with part-time on-site work on offer; it’s nice to break up stints working at home by mingling in the office!
Whether my work is local or remote, I value work that makes positive social, cultural and environmental contributions over better-paid but less worthy projects. Still, if you’re not sure where you fall on this spectrum, drop me a line anyway - I might be short of cash :-)
